ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,565,423, issued on March 3, was assigned to Valero Services Inc. (San Antonio).
"Process for producing hydrogen from natural gas" was invented by William A. Malatak (San Antonio).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of producing hydrogen from methane and renewable hydrocarbons is disclosed. The method includes producing hydrogen with a lower carbon life cycle emission score by utilizing (1) a blend of renewable feedstocks and natural gas and (2) a carbon dioxide recovery and sequestration process."
The patent was filed on Jan. 26, 2023, under Application No. 18/102,058.
