US Patent Issued to UOP on June 2 for "Dehydrogenation and pyrolysis product recovery with a common refrigerant" (American, Indian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,643,843, issued on June 2, was assigned to UOP LLC (Rosemont, Ill.).

"Dehydrogenation and pyrolysis product recovery with a common refrigerant" was invented by Ernest J. Boehm (Hanover Park, Ill.), Sudipta K. Ghosh (Gurgaon, India), Prashant Balyan (Gurgaon, India), Xin X. Zhu (Long Grove, Ill.) and Kyle Cuellar (Fulshear, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process and apparatus cool a pyrolyzed stream and a dehydrogenated stream in respective cold boxes by use of a refrigerant compressed with a common compressor. The refrigerant is compressed and used to cool a pyrolysis cold box and a dehydrogenation cold box."
