ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,686,659, issued on July 21, was assigned to University of San Diego (San Diego).

"Multivalent terpene-based bolaamphiphiles for gene delivery" was invented by Peter M. Iovine (San Diego), Gopi Nath Vemuri (San Diego) and Jake Hughes (San Diego).
