ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,674,212, issued on July 7, was assigned to University of Kentucky Research Foundation (Lexington, Ky.).

"PCR method for the detection of equine rotavirus group B (ERVB) in biological samples" was invented by Feng Li (Lexington, Ky.), Dan Wang (Lexington, Ky.), Erdal Erol (Lexington, Ky.) and Tirth Uprety (Lexington, Ky.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are a set of primers and probes for detecting rotavirus. The set of primers and probes includes at least one forward primer selected from the group including SEQ ID NOS: 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 50, 53, 56, 59, 62, 65, 68, 71, 74, 77, 80, 83, 86, 89, 92, 95,...
