ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,593,848, issued on April 7, was assigned to University of Kentucky Research Foundation (Lexington, Ky.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure concerns copper coatings on glass with a thickness of about 8 to 10 nm to maintain high levels of transparency.
