ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,445, issued on April 21, was assigned to University of Florida Research Foundation Inc. (Gainesville, Fla.).
"Hematopoietic stem cells in combinatorial therapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors against cancer" was invented by Duane Mitchell (Gainesville, Fla.) and Catherine Flores (Gainesville, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The novel synergistic combination of immune checkpoint blockade and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and/or hematopoietic stem cell mobilization yield synergistic effects in disease therapy."
