ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,578,758, issued on March 17, was assigned to Universal City Studios LLC (Universal City, Calif.).

"Interactive device of an attraction system" was invented by Robert Michael Jordan (Orlando, Fla.) and Patrick John Goergen (Orlando, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wearable device for an attraction system includes a display, a projector oriented at a first oblique angle with respect to the display and configured to project an image onto the display, and a microphone oriented at a second oblique angle with respect to the display. The microphone is configured to receive audio waves deflecting off the display."
