ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,583,498, issued on March 24, was assigned to Tricam Industries LLC (Eden Prairie, Minn.).
"Dump cart" was invented by Joseph P. Foley (St. Paul, Minn.), Benjamin P. Williams (Chaska, Minn.), Benjamin M. Wernberg (Savage, Minn.) and Dennis D. Simpson (Plymouth, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dumping cart is disclosed. The cart allows for complete dumping while maintaining four wheels on the ground and can rotate the rear set of wheels to allow the bed of the cart to be completely turned over for emptying. Also disclosed is a method of attaching an article retaining bed to a cart."
