ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,683,196, issued on July 14, was assigned to Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America Inc. (Plano, Texas) and Toyota Jidosha K.K. (Toyota Aichi-ken, Japan).

"Anodically stable and highly conducting borane solid state battery electrolytes" was invented by Rana Mohtadi (Northville, Mich.) and Oscar Tutusaus (Ann Arbor, Mich.).
