ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,016, issued on April 21, was assigned to Towel Tab Innovations LLC (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
"Towel tab device for retaining a towel in place about a user" was invented by Gina M. Knodle (Fayetteville, Ark.), Bethany D. VanOeffelen (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Michael E. Nipke (Wyoming, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A towel with an integrated retention tab includes a distal end, opposed sides, and a proximal end that is affixed to a towel. The retention tab is formed of a different material than the towel, and is secured to the towel at an attachment area. The retention tab is configured to be positioned over a portion of the towel...
