US Patent Issued to TOPSOE on June 30 for "Methanol to olefin (MTO) process" (Danish Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,747, issued on June 30, was assigned to TOPSOE A/S (Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark).

"Methanol to olefin (MTO) process" was invented by Pablo Beato (Nordhavn, Denmark).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process for producing an olefin stream, said process comprising passing a feedstock stream comprising oxygenates over catalyst comprises a zeolite with a framework having a 10-ring pore structure, in which said 10-ring pore structure comprises a unidimensional (1-D) pore structure, such as *MRE, at a pressure of 1-25 bar and a temperature of 240-360deg C.
