ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,564,768, issued on March 3, was assigned to Topgolf International Inc. (Dallas).
"Golf ball with electrical components" was invented by Ethan D. Stroud (Liberty Hill, Texas).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A golf ball comprising piezoelectric material and a wireless transmitter is disclosed herein. The golf ball also comprises at least one of an integrated circuit having a gyroscope, a magnetometer, and a BLUETOOTH low energy (BTLE) radio, and at least one battery."
The patent was filed on Sept. 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/243,494.
