ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,686,471, issued on July 21, was assigned to The University of Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg, Miss.).

"Adjustable aquaculture apparatus" was invented by Gero Nootz (Stennis Space Center, Miss.), Megan E. Gima (Ocean Springs, Miss.) and Vishwamithra Reddy Sunkara (Bay St. Louis, Miss.).
