ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,350, issued on June 30, was assigned to The United States of America, as represented by the Secretary of the Navy (Arlington, Va.).

"Thermal energy compensator" was invented by Matthew V. Frank (Chadds Ford, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a thermal energy compensator providing relatively constant temperature water to a distributed cooling system."
