ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,665,775, issued on June 23, was assigned to The Trustees of the Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, N.J.).
"Methods, protocols, and apparatuses of quantum physical unclonable functions" was invented by Yuping Huang (Norwood, N.J.) and Lac Thi Thanh Nguyen (Jersey City, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for authentication between multiple communication parties is disclosed. Authentication can be carried out by the means of each communication party having a device having a physical unclonable function.
