ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,673,031, issued on July 7, was assigned to The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.).
"Soy proteins for preparation of gels, fibers and films" was invented by You-Lo Hsieh (Oakland, Calif.) and Xingchen Liu (Oakland, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides compositions of soy protein gel fibers, soy protein fiber membranes, and soy protein films.
