ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,673,455, issued on July 7, was assigned to THE JAPAN STEEL WORKS LTD. (Tokyo).
"Molding machine" was invented by Takayuki Hirano (Tokyo) and Kazuma Hamada (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The molding machine includes a cylinder, a screw built in the cylinder, and a state detection device. The state detection device includes a sensor for detecting a state of the screw. The state detection device is attached to the screw outside the cylinder."
The patent was filed on Oct. 15, 2019, under Application No. 17/768,842.
