US Patent Issued to The Boeing on Aug. 11 for "Aircraft weapons pod including rail launcher" (Missouri Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,704,352, issued on Aug. 11, was assigned to The Boeing Co. (Arlington, Va.).

"Aircraft weapons pod including rail launcher" was invented by Ryan Glen Binkholder (Webster Groves, Mo.) and John Kevin Foster (St. Peters, Mo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An aircraft comprising a weapons pod including an enclosure mounted to an outer mold line of the aircraft, and at least one missile rail launcher mounted entirely within and fixed to the enclosure."

The patent was filed on Dec. 4, 2024, under Application No. 18/968,621.
