ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,548,964, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University (Stanford, Calif.).

"Self-isolated nanoscale laser" was invented by Jefferson Dixon (Staten Island, N.Y.), Mark Lawrence (Saint Louis, Mo.), David Russell Barton III (Somerville, Mass.) and Jennifer A. Dionne (Menlo Park, Calif.).
