ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,703,296, issued on Aug. 11, was assigned to Tesla Inc. (Redmond, Wash.).
"Global headlamp" was invented by Robert Flynn (San Francisco).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems, methods, and controllers for a global headlamp. An example method includes obtaining configuration information indicative of a jurisdiction and a vehicle model associated with a vehicle. Headlamp state information is generated based on the vehicle model and jurisdiction. A propagation is output via a pixelated light source in a headlamp of the vehicle, the propagation representing a particular beam pattern which is compliant with the jurisdiction."
