ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,680,206, issued on July 14, was assigned to Temple University-Of The Commonwealth System of Higher Education (Philadelphia).

"Portable spinner and methods of use" was invented by Sogol M. Baharlou (Philadelphia), Jonathan A. Gerstenhaber (Philadelphia), Yah-el H. Har-el (Philadelphia) and Peter I. Lelkes (Cherry Hill, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides portable devices and systems for electrofocused blow spinning, and methods for using the same. The devices of the invention are convenient to carry and use and are able to acrodynamically spin a variety of materials in a mobile setting."
