ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,666,453, issued on June 23, was assigned to Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (PUBL) (Stockholm).
"Duplicate transmission of protocol data units" was invented by Torsten Dudda (Wassenberg, Germany) and Ying Sun (Taby, Sweden).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is provided mechanisms for triggering uplink PDU duplication from a user equipment. A method is performed by a network node. The method comprises configuring the user equipment with an RLC URLLC mode. According to the RLC URLLC mode the user equipment is configured with an RLC trigger for the user equipment to perform uplink PDU duplication for an URLLC service."
