US Patent Issued to TE Connectivity Austria on July 28 for "Electric switch" (Austrian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,695,041, issued on July 28, was assigned to TE Connectivity Austria GmbH.

"Electric switch" was invented by Markus Gutmann (Vienna) and Philipp Harrer (Vienna).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A switch includes a set of contacts and a drive mechanism opening and closing the set of contacts. The drive mechanism is located beside the set of contacts in a direction perpendicular to an opening direction in which the contacts are movable to at least one of open and close."

The patent was filed on June 16, 2022, under Application No. 17/841,979.
