US Patent Issued to TDK on July 21 for "Acoustic device" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,689,859, issued on July 21, was assigned to TDK Corp. (Tokyo).

"Acoustic device" was invented by Kaoru Narita (Tokyo), Akira Satoh (Tokyo) and Kaoru Kijima (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An acoustic device includes a piezoelectric element and a housing holding the piezoelectric element. The housing includes a vibrator having a main surface to which the piezoelectric element is bonded, and a frame body bonded to the main surface to surround the piezoelectric element. The frame body is disposed inward of an outer edge of the main surface when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the main surface."
