ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,357, issued on April 7, was assigned to SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY (Syracuse, N.Y.).

"Torchiere with air flow mechanism and ultraviolet disinfection" was invented by Brian D. Carter (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) and Eric A. Schiff (Dewitt, N.Y.).
