ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. PP37,537, issued on July 21, was assigned to Syngenta Crop Protection AG (Basel, Switzerland).

"Begonia plant named 'BEYZ0014'" was invented by Cathy Knoblauch (Whitecourt, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new Begonia plant named 'BEYZ0014' has a symmetrical upright, mounded habit, vivid orange double male flowers, and single vivid orange female flowers that bloom naturally from spring to fall. 'BEYZ0014' is characterized by its deep mahogany brown foliage with bright green veins."

The patent was filed on Aug. 25, 2025, under Application No. 19/308,394.
