ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,729,314, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Susonity Commercial GmbH (Gernsheim, Germany).

"Radar-enabled coating containing metal effect pigments on a substrate" was invented by Gianfranco Pironti (Darmstadt, Germany) and Christoph Landmann (Darmstadt, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a radar-compatible coating comprising metal-effect pigments on a substrate, to a process for the production of such a coating, and to the use of a substrate coated in this manner, in particular in vehicle construction."
