ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,585,770, issued on March 24, was assigned to Support Intelligence Inc. (Oakland, Calif.).

"Amino acid Hilbert mapping" was invented by Rick Holloman Wesson (Oakland, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A file is received that includes locus information. The received file is preprocessed, including by selecting a size for a Hilbert curve. File contents are transformed using the Hilbert curve. The transformed file contents are down-sampled. A hashing operation is performed on the down-sampled result."

The patent was filed on Sept. 5, 2023, under Application No. 18/242,429.
