ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,624,552, issued on May 12, was assigned to STOCKTON PRODUCTS (Las Vegas).
"Casing bead" was invented by Kurt Meiswinkel (Hillsborough, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A casing bead having a J- or J-spur shape comprises, consists essentially of, or consists of an item, e.g., sheet metal, formed in a bent shape. The shape is formed of a first section, followed by a second section, a third section, and a fourth section. Alone, the casing bead's first and fourth sections may have interior uninterrupted facing surfaces, and the second section is substantially perpendicular to the first and fourth sections."
