ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,671,918, issued on June 30, was assigned to STMicroelectronics (Crolles 2) SAS (Crolles, France).
"Pixel with global shutter" was invented by Frederic Lalanne (Bernin, France) and Pierre Malinge (Bernin, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pixel includes a photosensitive circuit, a sense node, a first transistor and a first capacitor. A first electrode of the first capacitor is connected to a control terminal of the first transistor. A second electrode of the first capacitor is to a node of application of a first control signal."
The patent was filed on Oct. 11, 2024, under Application No. 18/912,683.
