US Patent Issued to Starfish Holding on May 26 for "Prosthetic foot" (Minnesota, Michigan Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,636,169, issued on May 26, was assigned to Starfish Holding LLC (Rochester, Minn.).

"Prosthetic foot" was invented by Jill Neuvirth (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and Brandon Sampson (Pine Island, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A prosthetic foot includes a cap, a retaining element and a plurality of blades. Each of the plurality of blades includes a proximal portion coupled with the cap, a middle portion coupled with the retaining element and a distal portion extending outwardly from the retaining element."
