ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,634,601, issued on May 19, was assigned to SRI International (Menlo Park, Calif.).

"On-the-fly defective pixel correction" was invented by Rui Zhu (Princeton, N.J.), Peter A Levine (West Windsor, N.J.) and Colin Earle (Yardley, Calif.).
