ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,645,280, issued on June 2, was assigned to Snap Inc. (Santa Monica, Calif.).

"Detecting wear status of wearable device" was invented by Jason Heger (Louisville, Colo.), Dunxu Hu (Los Angeles), Eric Nachtigall (Broomfield, Colo.), Gerald Nilles (Los Angeles), Ugur Olgun (Marina Del Rey, Calif.) and Praveen Babu Vadivelu (Erie, Colo.).
