US Patent Issued to Smart Guider on June 23 for "Ergonomic handle for a probing cane" (California, Kentucky Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,660,897, issued on June 23, was assigned to Smart Guider Inc. (San Diego).

"Ergonomic handle for a probing cane" was invented by Kelvin Crosby (San Diego) and Angela Ulloa (Independence, Ky.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various aspects of the disclosure generally relate to a handle with enhanced ergonomics and improved shape, especially for use with a probing or mobility cane. In one aspect, the handle may offer improved grip and coordination by someone who is blind or sight impaired. In one aspect, the handle may contain electronics and offer improved usability in the operation of those electronics."
