US Patent Issued to SiTime on June 2 for "Temperature-reporting oscillator" (Dutch, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,647,073, issued on June 2, was assigned to SiTime Corp. (Sunnyvale, Calif.).

"Temperature-reporting oscillator" was invented by Sassan Tabatabaei (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Kamran Souri (The Hague, Netherlands), Saleh Heidary Shalmany (Delft, Netherlands) and Charles I. Grosjean (Los Gatos, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In an integrated circuit device having a microelectromechanical-system (MEMS) resonator and a temperature transducer, a clock signal is generated by sensing resonant mechanical motion of the MEMS resonator and a temperature signal indicative of temperature of the MEMS resonator is generated via the temperature transducer...
