ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,738,528, issued on Sept. 15, was assigned to Sion Power Corp. (Tucson, Ariz.).

"Lithium-containing electrochemical cells, electrochemical systems, and related methods" was invented by Chariclea Scordilis-Kelley (Tucson, Ariz.), Yuriy V. Mikhaylik (Tucson, Ariz.) and Michael G. Laramie (Tucson, Ariz.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Electrochemical cells and electrochemical systems containing lithium (e.g., lithium metal) are generally described."
