According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A protective cap is presented that is releasably connected to a medicament delivery having a generally tubular body and a medicament delivery member with a shield to be removed when the protective cap is removed, attachment elements for holding a generally tubular medicament delivery member shield remover within the protective cap and a lid attached to the cap body for holding the medicament delivery member shield remover in position."
