ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,600,821, issued on April 14, was assigned to Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Crosslinked organosilicon resin, a method for producing same, and a cosmetic" was invented by Takuya Abe (Annaka, Japan), Masayuki Konishi (Tokyo) and Chihiro Hayakawa (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein is a crosslinked organosilicone resin that has a crosslinked structure formed by reacting a silicone or hydrocarbon having an alkenyl group at both ends thereof with a hydrosilyl group-containing organosilicone resin, is soluble with a liquid oil at room temperature, and forms a film by volatilization of the oil.
