ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,672,463, issued on June 30, was assigned to Sharp Display Technology Corp. (Kameyama City, Japan).
"Display device" was invented by Yuji Tanaka (Sakai City, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A display device includes: a display panel including a plurality of light-emitting elements; at least one solar cell receiving light from the plurality of light-emitting elements; and a measuring unit measuring output from the at least one solar cell."
The patent was filed on Oct. 12, 2022, under Application No. 19/105,166.
