ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,729,316, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to SEIKO EPSON Corp. (Japan).

"Water-based ink jet ink composition and ink jet recording method" was invented by Sena Gozu (Shiojiri, Japan), Yuko Hishida (Matsumoto, Japan) and Kenta Uchida (Matsumoto, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A water-based ink jet ink composition contains C.I. Pigment Red 150 and at least one of 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone and Epsilon-caprolactam."

The patent was filed on Aug. 28, 2023, under Application No. 18/456,729.
