US Patent Issued to Sea Otter Innovations on May 26 for "Seat adjustment system" (South Carolina Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,637,180, issued on May 26, was assigned to Sea Otter Innovations LLC (Mount Pleasant, S.C.).

"Seat adjustment system" was invented by Zachary Jennings (Fort Mill, S.C.) and Richard O. Gregory II (Rock Hill, S.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for a boat can include a pair of seat rails configured to simultaneously couple the seat to a floor of the boat in any one of multiple positions in a longitudinal direction of the seat rails, the seat rails being parallel to each other when the seat is coupled to the floor."
