US Patent Issued to SCHOTT on June 9 for "Chemically tempered glass" (German Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,649,688, issued on June 9, was assigned to SCHOTT AG (Mainz, Germany).

"Chemically tempered glass" was invented by Stefan Meinhardt (Neustadt an der Orla, Germany) and Rolf Weitnauer (Rothenstein, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Chemically tempered lithium aluminosilicate glasses and methods of tempering are provided.
