US Patent Issued to Saudi Arabian Oil on June 30 for "Copoly(1,2,4-triazole)s membranes for sour mixed-gas separation applications" (Saudi Arabia Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,659, issued on June 30, was assigned to Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia).

"Copoly(1,2,4-triazole)s membranes for sour mixed-gas separation applications" was invented by Ali Hayek (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia) and Abdulkarim Alsamah (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This disclosure relates to polymers and polymeric membranes that incorporate functionalized copoly(1,2,4-triazole)s. The polymers and polymeric membranes can be used in sour natural gas separation applications."

The patent was filed on June 15, 2023, under Application No. 18/335,679.
