ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,712, issued on April 21, was assigned to Sartorius Stedim Cellca GmbH (Ulm, Germany).
"Droplet microarrays" was invented by Samin Akbari (Winchester, Mass.), Christoph Zehe (Ehingen, Germany) and David Pollard (South Boston, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods for forming arrays of droplets, and associated arrays of droplets, are generally provided."
The patent was filed on Jan. 17, 2023, under Application No. 18/097,956.
