ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,672,461, issued on June 30, was assigned to SAMSUNG DISPLAY Co. LTD. (Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea).
"Display device" was invented by Eunhee Han (Yongin-si, South Korea), Cheol Jang (Yongin-si, South Korea) and Youngje Cho (Yongin-si, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A display device includes a substrate, a light-emitting element disposed on the substrate, a capping layer disposed on the light-emitting element, and a light control pattern disposed on the capping layer, including an inclined outer side surface and defining an air layer having a thickness which is variable."
