ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,746,242, issued on Sept. 29, was assigned to Sagimet Biosciences Inc. (San Mateo, Calif.).
"Combination therapies of FASN inhibitors with thyroid hormone receptor agonists" was invented by Anne-Marie O'Farrell (Burlingame, Calif.), George Kemble (Saratoga, Calif.) and Wen-Wei Tsai (San Mateo, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Therapeutic combinations of fatty acid synthesis modulators and thyroid hormone receptor agonists are provided. The combinations may be used to treat disorders including metabolic disorders and liver disorders, such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis/metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (NASH/MASH)."
