US Patent Issued to SAFT AMERICA on Sept. 15 for "Battery and battery with spring plate" (Maryland Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,738,526, issued on Sept. 15, was assigned to SAFT AMERICA (Cockeysville, Md.).

"Battery and battery with spring plate" was invented by Christopher Bulick (Abingdon, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A battery including a housing, a plurality of battery cells in the housing, and a spring plate providing a biasing force against the plurality of battery cells. The spring plate is configured such that a tension of the spring plate may be adjusted from outside of the housing."

The patent was filed on Feb. 24, 2023, under Application No. 18/174,206.
