ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,593,857, issued on April 7, was assigned to Roquette Freres (Lestrem, France).
"Fermented pea solubles" was invented by Sophie Huchette-Defretin (Bethune, France) and Gabriel Macquart (Mont Bernanchon, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a water-soluble fermented pea extract. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation thereof and to the use thereof in the human and animal nutrition industry as well as in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetics industries."
The patent was filed on Dec. 18, 2020, under Application No. 17/757,659.
