ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,686,057, issued on July 21, was assigned to Rolls-Royce Corp. (Indianapolis).

"Powder flow measurement in additive manufacturing systems" was invented by Scott Nelson (Indianapolis), Baily Thomas (Rogersville, Mo.), Abdalla R. Nassar (State College, Pa.) and John Grubbs (Indianapolis).
