ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,595,536, issued on April 7, was assigned to Raytheon Co. (Arlington, Va.).
"Nanocomposites including gallium arsenide and silicon" was invented by Ralph Korenstein (Natick, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A nanocomposite including silicon (Si) and gallium arsenide (GaAs), infrared (IR) windows including the nanocomposite, methods of making the nanocomposite, and methods of using the nanocomposite."
The patent was filed on Nov. 30, 2021, under Application No. 17/537,845.
